Asvaran in The Early Islamic Centuries

Abstract

Asvaran were of the low levels of landlord nobles in Sassanid Era who anained  the political Officers, because of administrative and political reforms of  Khosru the first ( 530-579) in order to decrease the Great noble's position , and became the powerful social forces in Sassanid Army  structure. This chosen group of Khosru had been  in military system and  got payments from the state court .  Developments of these forces and their positions and offices didn’t derive from the old aristocracy, but their promotions were because of their  loyalty to the King .As Their important roles  had been traced in historian narratives from that latest time and the main cases of the narratives are their interaction against the militarily and  governmental of Muslim Arabs. It seems, at the first century , the presence of the administrative and the same  military components and continuing  their  social life  , had caused an Iranian empirical transition about the popular affairs about the war and army system from the Sassanid period to Islamic Era . however, as much as historical reports and sources lets ,we will study Asvaran life in the Muslim settlement era in Iran and also progression of Iranians military thoughts in Islamic middle ages.
